SHOCKING: India’s ‘Silent Highway’ in Tiger Reserve CRACKS OPEN! What Went Wrong? : India’s inaugural soundproof and lightproof elevated road, traversing through the Pench Tiger Reserve in Madhya Pradesh’s Seoni, has developed significant cracks due to continuous heavy rainfall. These cracks have emerged both in the middle section and along the sides of the elevated road, necessitating the closure of a 200-meter portion of the two-lane highway and resulting in traffic congestion.

The segment of the highway that has developed cracks runs through the buffer zone of the Pench Tiger Reserve. The primary purpose of this elevated stretch was to enable the movement of wildlife within the Pench Tiger Reserve without disturbing them due to the noise and lights generated by passing vehicles. To achieve this, sound barriers and headlight reducers were installed on both sides of the four-lane road, along with a four-meter-high steel wall.

Rajkumar Khurana, District President of the Congress, remarked, “This is yet another stark example of a government project marred by corruption. The road, constructed by Dilip Buildcon, a company favored by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, has started deteriorating within just three years. From Gadkari Ji to the entire government, they all praised this road as one of Asia’s finest.”

Officials from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and Dilip Buildcon, the company responsible for constructing the bridge, have arrived at the scene to assess the situation.
