New Delhi: Several regions across India have recently experienced substantial rainfall. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts that active monsoon conditions will persist over northern Peninsular, central, and adjacent East India for the next five days.

Furthermore, there is an anticipated increase in rainfall activity, including isolated heavy showers, in Maharashtra from September 6 to 8. The IMD reported, “Following yesterday’s Cyclonic Circulation over the Northwest Bay of Bengal, a Low-Pressure Area has developed over the Northwest and adjacent Westcentral Bay of Bengal, off the southern Odisha-northern Andhra Pradesh coasts this morning. It is expected to move generally westward across southern Odisha and south Chhattisgarh in the next 24 hours.”

Rainfall Alerts for Eastern India:

Expect light to moderate fairly widespread to widespread rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning, with isolated instances of heavy rainfall in Gangetic West Bengal until September 7, and in Odisha until September 8.
Similar weather patterns are expected to continue in Jharkhand on Friday and in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands until September 9.

Rainfall Alerts for Southern India:

Anticipate light to moderate fairly widespread to widespread rainfall, including isolated heavy rainfall, in Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam, Telangana, and North Interior Karnataka on September 6, and in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal until September 7.
Similar weather conditions are expected in Coastal and South Interior Karnataka on September 8 and 9, as well as in Kerala and Mahe until Saturday.

Rainfall Alerts for Central India:

The IMD states, “Light to moderate fairly widespread to widespread rainfall/thunderstorm & lightning, with isolated heavy rainfall, is highly likely in East Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha during September 5th–9th; in Chhattisgarh during September 5th–7th; and in West Madhya Pradesh during September 6th–9th.”
Isolated instances of very heavy rainfall are also probable in Vidarbha on September 6.

Rainfall Alerts for Western India:

Expect light to moderate fairly widespread to widespread rainfall, thunderstorms, and lightning, with isolated heavy rainfall in Marathwada until September 8, and in Konkan and Goa from September 7 to 9.
Similar weather conditions are likely to persist in Madhya Maharashtra until September 9 and in the Gujarat Region on Friday.

Rainfall Alerts for Northeast India:

The weather agency reports, “Light to moderate scattered to fairly widespread rainfall/thunderstorm with isolated heavy rainfall activity is highly likely in Assam & Meghalaya on September 8th & 9th, and in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura during September 7th – 9th.”

Rainfall Alerts for Northwest India:

Anticipate light to moderate isolated to scattered rainfall/thunderstorm with isolated heavy rainfall activity over West Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday and over East Uttar Pradesh on September 6 and 7.
Similar weather conditions are expected in East Rajasthan from September 7 to 9 and in Uttarakhand on Friday and Saturday.
